Some people say that was the record for the highest attended march for same-sex marriage ever in Australia.<br /><br />Let's hope, with the warm weather, the political atmosphere making people more and more angry, and plenty of campaigning, we will get more people to attend this time.<br /><br />And by the way: after the rally in Melbourne, there will a special meeting called Sexuality and Capitalism at 3pm. The slogan is 'Why the system is to blame for homophobia?'<br />It will be a speech given by the National Union of Students Queer Officer Liam Byrne, who on August 1 also made a speech to the thousands of people just before the march.<br />The march will end near Parliament House; only a very short walk away is the Imperial Hotel (cnr of Bourke and Spring) which is where the meeting will be held.Mikhail Silverwoodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07981370631370607531noreply@blogger.com
